It was hot on this Texas afternoon but we needed more room so out it went!! Next is a shot of myself taking the upper intake off while Cody watches closely to make sure I don't break it!!

After we took the tranny out this happened...would you say this car needed motor mounts? Yep we thought so too! In the second picture out comes the old! We had to take off the 1 5/8 headers as the engine hooks wouldn't fit around them!

Here's a shot of the bare block fresh from the machine shop. Cody decided he wanted to go back with the factory black paint while I thought that it wouldn't look like a Ford motor if it wasn't Ford Blue but hey its his car, it did turn out nice in the end though.

Here we are with the REAL goodies. Those are twisted wedge aluminum heads (gotta love those 2.02 intake valves!) Also there are some 1.6 Crane roller rockers and the heart of the beast the Crane 2031 compucam! Also we have a shot of the assembled long block (yeah I know this pic isn't that great due to the lighting in the garage) it was kinda late and we wanted a shot of it before we went any further. I gotta get some fluorescent lights in the garage!!

Boy don't those look nice? These are 1.6 Crane Cams' Aluminum roller rockers, they took us a little bit to get them adjusted properly since we were switching over from a positive stop rocker setup to the fully adjustable stud mount variety but it was well worth the extra time and effort IMHO. OK in ya go!! In the next pic we are expecting the car to say ahhhhhhhhh!!
